STI's

Catching a Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) is a real risk that you take when engaging in sexual activity. You don't necessarily have to be sleeping around and more and more young people are catching STI's simply because they don't prepare for sex, or use condoms or think contraception isn't necessary or think it can't happen to them. Well it can!

Most STI's can be passed on to others during unprotected sex (not using a condom). This can be oral, anal or vaginal sex and if you are using sex toys. STI's like lice and warts can be passed on with skin to skin contact.
You can get tested for STI's at a sexual health clinic or your GP practice.
